Scheduling

  • What is Groovy Windows' rescheduling policy?
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule your window cleaning. Our schedule is tight, and last-minute changes can cause stress. If you are a repeat customer, we do not require you to be home during the window cleaning. All of our employees are background checked and trusted in our own homes without supervision.

General Questions

  • How can I prepare for my Groovy Windows cleaning?
At Groovy Windows, we aim to make the process as simple as possible for you. Before our arrival, we ask that you take care of a few things: Please move any breakable, expensive, or irreplaceable items such as family heirlooms or knick-knacks that may be in or around the windows. We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to these items during the cleaning process. Pull your blinds or window treatments into the open or up position. If you are unable to do so, we are happy to assist, but we cannot be held responsible if a blind string tears during the process. If you have furniture that needs to be moved on hardwood floors, we ask that you either move it before we arrive or provide moving pads to ensure your floors are not damaged.
  • Does Groovy Windows clean windows in the rain?
We monitor the weather closely and clean windows in light to medium rain. However, if weather conditions become unsafe, such as high winds or lightning, we may need to reschedule your window cleaning. It is a myth that light rain causes dirty windows; dirt on the glass combined with rain is what causes dirty windows.

Cleaning Questions

  • How does Groovy Windows handle hard water stains or built-up residue?
Groovy Windows does not use razor blades without homeowner consent, as they are strictly forbidden by nearly every window manufacturer due to changes in the way glass is made. Instead, they have different options based on different substances:
